| It has taken me all this time to finally describe what I experienced on a back road in NE El Paso in 1979. It was 1:30 AM i was on my way to work at the Airport (security) I took the back road from my home and came to a stop sign. No cars were around at that time. Something to my left caught my attention . .. I saw a small bright light that I first thought was a train headlight as it was about where the railroad tracks were. it was pitch dark and nothing but desert in that direction. I thought it was strange that this light did not light up anything around or below it and it was a bit too high up to be the train. I rolled my window down to see if I could hear any noise but it was quite. I started to roll forward to turn right, It appeared to move with me, so I stopped. It stopped, I thought "no way" so I flashed my brights like a signal but it did nothing but hover there. I started to drive again and I know I saw it move with me again, so I stopped. I wasn't affraid I just couldn't believe this light was playing with me. Again I drove a little faster and for sure this light was moving with me. I estimate it to be about 100 yrds to my left not very high up either. I took off faster this time watching it following move with me until I passed in front of the Safeway warehouse and Plastic Molding plant and other factory buildings ... it went behind the buildings as I was driving in front of the buildings when I got to a gap between the two buildings I saw the light (keeping up with me) I drove faster to get to another gap and this time I saw a small flashing red light on the bottom and then it took off behind the next building. I hit the gas pedal to race to the next opening but it was gone! I didn't see it go up or forward, I got to the end of the road to a stop sign leading to the main road where I would turn left at that point there were no more buildings just open desert to my left but the light was no where to be seen. To this day I have looked for that light. But since 1979 I have moved from TX to So. Cal and now Portland OR. I need to know if ANYONE else saw this, I will never forget this one-on- one interaction with what was obviously a UFO encounter! by the way the land it was hovering over was all military land.... | |
